Four books of the Bible—Leviticus, Hebrews, Daniel, and Revelation—have contributed to Seventh-day Adventist understanding of Christ’s priestly ministry in the heavenly sanctuary. Since the Committee’s assigned task centered largely on issues relating to the Sanctuary doctrine, study was given also to Hebrews, although not a book of prophecy.
